CLEVELAND, OH – Nightclub & Bar Magazine's 2010 Nightclub & Bar Awards program is officially open. Formerly known as Five Star Awards, the Nightclub & Bar Awards program will continue to focus on recognizing and honoring the outstanding innovators in the on-premise hospitality industry but with a new format, categories, judges and more.

“Nightclub & Bar is celebrating its 25th year in 2010, and we thought it was perfect timing to re-energize our commitment to honor the best of the best in nightclub and bar concepts and operation," said Donna Hood Crecca, Nightclub & Bar Editorial Director. “We've lined up an esteemed judging panel and encourage all in the industry to nominate either themselves or a peer in the contest."

Operators may nominate their own or other operations they admire, and nominations also may be submitted by suppliers, vendors, wholesalers, consultants, DJs and allied industry professionals.

Nightclub award categories include:

• Mega-Club of the Year
• Nightclub of the Year
• Ultra-Lounge of the Year
• New Club of the Year
• Ongoing Promotion/Party/Event of the Year
• Single Promotion/Party/Event of the Year
• Resident DJ of the Year

Bar award categories include:

• Cocktail Lounge of the Year
• Wine Bar of the Year
• Beer Bar of the Year
• Sports Bar of the Year
• Small Wonder Bar of the Year
• Hotel Bar of the Year
• Bartender of the Year

Winners will be featured in the pages of Nightclub & Bar and online at nightclub.com and are toasted during an exclusive VIP celebration in Las Vegas during the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show, March 8-10, to which they receive complimentary entry.
