DHS
Certifies Crisis Management System

recently certified Prepared Response,
Inc.’s Rapid Responder crisis
management system under the Support for Anti-Terrorism
by Fostering Effective Technologies Act (SAFETY

Pictometry
and Intergraph form Marketing Alliance
Pictometry International and Intergraph
Corporation have formed a marketing
alliance that will facilitate integration of
Pictometry's aerial imaging and measuring technology
with Intergraph's emergency incident management
solution at 9-1-1- call centers.
Intergraph's
emergency incident management solution provides
an interactive, real-time map display of caller
locations for 9-1-1 centers. Pictometry's software
allows users to access as many as 12 oblique
views of any property, building, highway, or
other feature. The software also helps users
obtain measurements such as distance, height,
elevation, and area directly from the oblique
imagery.
Combination
of the companies’ products
will allow 9-1-1 dispatchers to gain a better understanding
of situations in progress and enable them to provide
additional data to first responders en route. Most
recently, Intergraph and Pictometry integrated
their products into the 9-1-1 communications center
serving Howard County, Maryland, where dispatchers
used the technology to guide police officers to
a burglary scene where a suspect was apprehended.
